Finalists will be invited to an interview, and chosen winners will be required to submit a full business plan, developing in coordination with the Maude’s Ventures team.

We can only accept international applications if the applicant has an equivalency determination or a partnership with a US-based 501(c)(3) with a “friends of” status through which the funds can be distributed.  This must be submitted with your application for the idea to be considered.

Young Founders Program

The application window is the same as for Maude’s Ventures general grants, opening on April 14th, 2025, and closing on July 7th, 2025. We encourage you to submit your application within this timeframe.

It’s easy! Simply go to our “Apply” page. You’ll first complete a general information form – be sure to select “Young Founders Program” from the program options. Then, you can upload your required application documents.

We’re excited to receive applications from the next generation of innovators, including high school and college students and recent graduates (within 3 years). You can apply if you’re connected to a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit, if you’ve started your own for-profit or non-profit venture and are running it, or if you’re affiliated with a school or university that can handle funds for student projects. Should you have any questions about your eligibility, feel free to reach out to us at giulia.benvenuto@ferryfound.org.

Absolutely! We encourage applications from projects in the early stage, including those that are still in the idea phase. We understand that groundbreaking ventures often start with a spark of inspiration. Tell us about your vision, your approach, and why you believe in your idea’s potential. While a fully developed plan isn’t required, demonstrating a clear understanding of the problem you’re addressing and your proposed solution is key.

We encourage you to reach out with any questions you have about the Young Founders program! Our program manager, Giulia Benvenuto, is your point of contact. You can reach her at giulia.benvenuto@ferryfound.org. While we can’t offer project-specific feedback before the review, she’s happy to schedule a short call to answer any other questions you may have.
